Job Description
UArizona Hillel is looking to fill a part-time Event Production Assistant role for 6 hours per week (perfect for students!). In this role, you’ll play a key part in setup and breakdown of our events, as well as helping maintain a welcoming and fun environment. You’ll also get the chance to interact with all levels of staff and various stakeholders.
Desired Start Date: January 15th 2023
Rate of Pay: $16 per hour
Location: Adjacent to UArizona campus on the corner of Mountain and 2nd Street. (1245 E. 2nd Street)
Reports to: Operation Manager
Qualifications:
A great work ethic and willingness to tackle jobs from large to small.
An attention to detail and understanding that small details add up to big impact.
A roll-up-your sleeves approach and willingness to have fun.
Chill and friendly approach to customer service.
An ability to take direction, but also spot and solve issues independently.
Some food service or retail experience is welcome, but not required.
Extremely dependable and reliable.
Available most Fridays between 3 and 10 pm (times will vary; we are almost always done by 9 pm).
Availability Tuesday evenings between 7 and 10 pm also helpful, but not required.
Other availability for programs with advanced notice.
General Responsibilities:
Be a friendly and welcoming face for our visitors and guests; bring your own unique vibe to our events.
Set-up tables, chairs, buffets, and drink stations for our weekly programming (Friday nights).
Set-up for other programs and events as needed.
Order and receive catering deliveries.
Decorate our spaces!
Run errands for event and program needs.
Some kitchen prep (such as chopping fruit, making salads, slicing bread, making mocktails).
Help manage and run student services, meals, and programs, including serving food, creating mood lighting, creating signage and menus, etc.
Work check-in, nametag, and welcome tables and liaise with staff and security.
Clean-up after events and programs, including put furniture away, manage linens, wash dishes, tidy kitchen.
Help manage program and event inventory.
