Job Description

UArizona Hillel is looking for a part-time Office Assistant for 10 hours per week (perfect for students!). In this role, you’ll play a key role in keeping our building a positive, welcoming and productive environment. You’ll also get the chance to interact with all levels of staff and various stakeholders.

Desired Start Date: August 29

Rate of Pay: $16 per hour

Location: Adjacent to UArizona campus on the corner of Mountain and 2nd Street. (1245 E. 2nd Street)

Reports to: Operation Manager

Qualifications

  • A desire to learn the inner-workings of a mid-size non-profit and the philanthropic landscape.

  • Enthusiasm for delivering outstanding customer service.

  • Great oral, written, and organizational skills.

  • The ability to work effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders, including volunteers, staff, donors, students, and the general public.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Self-starter and willing to be supervised.

  • Reliable and responsible.

  • Familiar with social media and willing to learn enterprise software such as Mailchimp.

General Responsibilities:

  • Answer the door and phone and greet visitors with warmth and excitement.

  • Design, edit, and deploy our weekly eNews to over 1500 students.

  • Work with Operations Manager and social media intern to craft social media content that is relevant and fun.

  • Help care for the plants in our urban jungle and propagation station.

  • Exciting, project-based work that helps us align with our new strategic plan for radical growth.

  • Brainstorm new and creative access points for students.

  • Inventory of closets and supplies.

  • Update databases.

  • Run errands.

  • Program and event set-up and clean-up, including food prep and dishes.

  • Administrative wizardry.

  • We can be flexible with the schedule so long as you can be consistent!
